September Tip for Course Managers: Don't Underestimate the Value of Quality!

It’s been said that there is always a market for high quality products. But for some reason, many golf courses undervalue the impact of delivering a quality product. For them it’s all about quantity, not quality. The irony is that it’s quality, not quantity, that drives a great bottom line. Always.

Survey after survey shows that players are pleading for quality elements: the condition of the course guessed it, pace of play. To players, these are the elements of an ideal playing experience. And delivering that experience should be the focus for every course manager.

Playing on a beautiful, consistently maintained landscape is wonderful. And being able to enjoy a smooth, free flowing round of golf on that landscape is just about heaven. Players want both. So don’t underestimate the need to deliver a high quality, high value product. When you and your team can deliver that on a regular basis, so that your playing guests come to believe that not only can they count on the condition of the course but also that every starting time of the day has equal value, you’ll see an increase in play and an increase in customer loyalty and revenue.
