Breaking News! Australia is Open for Business!

July saw the inauguration of Pace Manager Systems in Australia’s major urban centers, as founder Bill Yates presented at the country’s first-ever Golf Business Forum (photo below right) and also joined Golf Industry Central’s Mike Orloff in spearheading golf workshops and individual course studies during his several week visit.

“Slow play is damaging golf and preventing growth of the game,” said Yates, who has brought his world renowned solutions to courses and major championships around the world for more than two decades. “My presentations and work at venues in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney have shown participants that they can successfully address slow play at a local level. And my consistent message has been that attention to pace of play is perhaps the most critical ingredient to attracting and retaining more loyal customers and members, and improving the bottom line.”

At various venues, Yates also praised the R&A’s recently published Pace of Play Manual, which embraces concepts Yates introduced to the R&A in 2001-2003, and as a featured speaker at the first comprehensive Pace of Play Symposium in St Andrews, Scotland. Click here to read more.

Yates plans regular visits to Australia to work directly with associations and with individual courses to help them identify their unique causes of slow play, solve the problem once and for all, increase revenue and grow the game.
