Asia Turns to Pace Manager Systems for Slow Play Solutions

Asia Turns to Pace Manager Systems for Slow Play Solutions

5/29/15   Premiere golf publication Asian Golf features a special report by Bill Yates - "We Need to Kill Slow Play!" - on the state of golf in the fast growing Asia Pacific region, which is now experiencing one of the biggest challenges for golfers and golf course operators…slow play.

Yates’ comments are featured in the June 2015 issue of Asian Golf (pp. 40-43), with a brief introduction by the editors that asks, “How does one get a handle on the problem? Is there a lasting solution available?”

“Asian Golf reached out to the guru of slow play Bill Yates,” explain the editors. “It looks like something is being done to rid the industry of this nuisance that in some cases is killing the game.”

The feature also acts as an introduction of Pace Manager Systems into the Asia Pacific region, as part of a recent partnership with Golf Industry Central, headquartered in Queensland, Australia, to bring the benefits and solutions of Pace Manager Systems to golf courses and clubs in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.  (See 3/1/15 announcement).

“Asian countries could fall into the ‘overcrowded facility trap’ if growth is not planned and managed properly,” says Yates. “There is almost unlimited potential in this region, and I look forward to working with the industry to help ensure healthy growth.”
